Well, I guess it's finally happened-our sweet little baby boy is now a toddler and all that implies!
He is now walking pretty good, but still likes to crawl too. He loves to be chased and caught! He will slow down so you can catch him and tickle him.
He has now decided to climb entire stair cases all by himself with no one watching. He is rather quick and silent about it too, so I have to use a gate at the bottom of our stairs now-otherwise he will be upstairs in a flash.
He can now open doors with the handle type door knobs. We only have 3 doors with those type, but one goes to the bathroom-so I'll have to watch and make sure he doesn't get in there and start playing in the toilet water or some other lovely thing like that.
He loves to close doors too. He always closes the back door if we ever leave it open-but he has now started to play with the lock. So I guess I'll have to take my keys with me when I run outside and leave him inside because I can just see him locking me out of the house by accident....sigh.
He is now very good at throwing fits-especially when he is told 'no' . He kicks and screams and lunges and does a very convincing sad little cry complete with crocodile tears. Boy, this parenting thing just keeps getting better and better.....
On a good note-I actually got to leave him in nursery at church today for about 30 minutes and he did just fine without me. It was probably harder on me than it was on him-I'm all pregnant and emotional so it's extra hard to leave my baby and let him grow up-darn it!His new word is cracker and he loves goldfish graham crackers! He shoves as many in his mouth as he possibly can before chewing and swallowing. He is also getting a molar in which has been not so much fun.

Okay-so this picture is at the King Reunion and Brent was making a face at Rigden because he was crying. I couldn't resist catching Brent at his 'best'! I'm sure I'll get some sort of revenge from him sooner or later.
We are trying to get everything ready for baby-but it has been slow going. Brent got a terrible cold, so that put us behind on the project thing. Plus, something is wrong with my car and we can't figure out what, we have to redo the brakes on our truck, our water heater just started having problems and we'll probably have to get a new one soon, and our roof started leaking the other day. So just in case we didn't have enough to do and pay for, now we have more! But I know everything will work out-it always does.
