Sorry I'm a little late getting this up, I've been kind of busy these past few days.
I can't believe our son is one year old! His birthday was on Wednesday the 7th! We had a small party in the evening for him with my parents, Brent's dad (his mom was out of town), and my uncle. Rigden was sort of cranky that day, actually he has been pretty cranky every day lately. When I gave him some chocolate cake however, it was a bit of a different story. He seemed to rather enjoy chocolate (hmmm, I wonder where he gets that from? couldn't be me!).
We love our little guy and are so glad we have him! He is such a cutie and we don't know what we'd do without him (especially when he's happy and makes us laugh)!
He got a highchair for his birthday, so this was the first time he'd ever been in one. I guess he did pretty good for his first time.
What is this weird stuff?
So I had all these grand plans for this cake that didn't come to fruition. I bought fondant and was going to color some brown and lay it over the whole cake. Then I was going to color some light blue and make polka dots for the cake. Well, I wasn't feeling in a cake decorating mood (which is odd since I usually like it), so I managed to get the polka dots on at least. Although, they turned out a much brighter blue than I was hoping for. But I guess when you're 1, you don't really care what your cake looks like (I hope).
